The present invention relates to a zeolite adsorbent having excellent adsorption of cresol, and a manufacturing method thereof, and more specifically, to a zeolite adsorbent for separation of cresol, particularly, for industrial production of m-cresol and p-cresol, a manufacturing method thereof, and a method for separating cresol isomers. The manufacturing method of a zeolite adsorbent having excellent adsorption of cresol comprises: a step (a) of mixing distilled water with a barium salt precursor having a barium ion to aluminum rate of 1 to 4, a potassium salt precursor having a potassium ion to aluminum rate of 0.1 to 2, and a zeolite having the aluminum to produce a solution; a step (b) of heating the solution to 25 to 78°C to keep the solution at the same temperature for 30 minutes to 3 hours, thereby performing ion exchange reaction; a step (c) of washing the solution subjected to the ion exchange reaction with distilled water; and a step (d) of filtering the solution washed with distilled water to recover the filtered adsorbent.
