According to the present invention, a method for analyzing a heavy metal contamination source of contaminated soil and river deposit by isotope analysis of heavy minerals comprises the steps of: (a) separating heavy minerals from a sample including heavy metals; (b) putting the heavy minerals of step (a) into a Teflon vial, adding an acidic solution, heating the same, dissolving the same, and drying the same; (c) putting hydrochloric acid into the dried heavy minerals of step (b), heating the same, drying the same, and dissolving the same in hydrogen bromide; (d) centrifuging the heavy minerals dissolved in hydrogen bromide in step (c), and separating heavy metals using an anion exchange resin and hydrogen bromide; and (e) analyzing heavy metals separated in step (d). According to the present invention, the method for analyzing a heavy metal contamination source of contaminated soil and river deposit by isotope analysis of heavy minerals has an advantage of more accurately analyzing the artificial origin and the natural origin of a contamination source of heavy metals, specifically Pb, by separating and obtaining heavy minerals in contaminated soil and river deposit and by performing isotope analysis.
