The present invention relates to a single nucleotide polymorphism marker for discriminating Korean traditional dog breeds from foreign dog breeds and a method for discriminating Korean traditional dog breeds from foreign dog breeds using the same. By using the single nucleotide polymorphism marker, the varieties such as shaggy Korean breed of dog, Korean Jindo dog, short-tailed dogs, and Pungsan dog can be accurately and rapidly discriminated from foreign dog breeds.
