The present invention is [60 C] fullerene nano-whiskers represent the catalytic activity in the reduction of the 4-aminophenol from 4-nitrophenol - relates to a gold nanoparticle conjugate and a method of manufacturing the same. The [C 60 ] fullerene nano whisker-gold nanoparticle composite according to the present invention is synthesized by a liquid-liquid interface precipitation method using toluene solution of [C 60 ] fullerene, gold nanoparticle solution and isopropyl alcohol, A commercially available 4-aminophenol can be used as a catalyst in the production of 4-nitrophenol by reduction of 4-nitrophenol as an intermediate for the production of an antipyretic agent and an analgesic drug.
