FIELD: oil and gas industry.;SUBSTANCE: operation method of a compressor station of main gas pipelines, gas-pumping units of which are equipped with a combined drive type – electric drive and gas turbine, is characterized by the fact, that when the electrical load of the common power system for gas pumping units falls down, a reversible motor generator is used as a drive, generator is equipped with a frequency converter for operation in the engine mode and with a generator – for operation in the power generation mode connected to a gas compressor through an automatic centrifugal clutch with a power shaft and a power take-off shaft. With a significant increase in the electrical load of the common power system, a gas turbine drive is used. Gas turbine drive has an air compressor, the input of which is supplied with air, then directed to the combustion chamber, in which, when burning the gas-air mixture, the high-energy heat flux is transformed to mechanical work due to the rotation of the gas-air mix of blades of the gas turbine by jets. Exhaust gases are sent through the flue to the waste heat boiler for further utilization in order to produce heat energy. Stopping the gas turbine drive and the starting the reversible engine-generator are synchronized.;EFFECT: method provides reduced consumption of electric power from the external electric network while increasing the reliability of the power supply and the resource of the gas pumping units of the compressor station.;1 cl, 2 dwg
