FIELD: oil and gas industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to determine the component composition and dynamics of hydrocarbon generation in the catagenesis of oil and gas rocks. Essence of the invention consists in the following: samples of sedimentary rocks are sampled in the investigated geological structures. Measure the parameters of generation of hydrocarbon components of a set of samples, using the technology of pyrolytic gas chromatography.
