To provide an approximate function evaluation system for a target sound under background noise capable of quantitatively performing approximate function evaluation highly correlative to function evaluation of a hearing impression with respect to the target sound that is generated from an evaluated object under the background noise.SOLUTION: An approximate function evaluation system 1 comprises a sound signal collection device 10 and a target sound evaluation device 20. A target sound emitted from an evaluated object 30 placed in a semi-anechoic room 41 and a background sound in an evaluated object use environment 42 that is an environment where the evaluated object 30 is used, are collected by the sound signal collection device 10. In the target sound evaluation device 20 receiving the target sound and the background sound, an evaluation estimate is calculated by evaluation estimate calculation means 27 taking the background sound in the environment where the evaluated object 30 is used into account. The evaluation estimate and an evaluation reference threshold stored in evaluation reference threshold storage means 26f are compared and evaluated by approximate function evaluation means 28.
