PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron containing material for rice capable of inhibiting brown spot and increasing yield of rice while reducing the content of manganese which is more expensive element than conventional manganese material.SOLUTION: There is provided an iron-containing material for rice having a component composition with CaO content of 25 mass% to 34 mass%, SiOcontent of 16 mass% to 22 mass%, Fe content of 13 mass% to 33 mass%, Mn content of 7 mass% to 22 mass%, MgO content of 2 mass% to 8 mass% and a CaO/SiOratio of 1.2 to 1.8.SELECTED DRAWING: None
