The invention provides a treatment method for bastnasite, and a treatment method for bastnasite-containing mixing ore. The treatment method for bastnasite comprises: calcining bastnasite to obtain a calcining product; leaching the calcining product by using hydrochloric acid to obtain a leached product; carrying out solid-liquid separation on the leached product to obtain a leaching liquid and a leaching residue; and carrying out selective depositing treatment on the leaching liquid to obtain a precipitation product, and carrying out solid-liquid separation on the precipitation product to obtain a cerium fluoride precipitate and a cerium-less chlorinated rare earth solution, wherein the reaction temperature of the selective depositing treatment is higher than the reaction temperature of the leaching with hydrochloric acid. According to the present invention, the leaching is performed at the relatively low reaction temperature, such that the fluorine element and the cerium element enterthe solution in the form of the formed [CeFx]4-x coordination compound while the non-cerium rare earth element is released so as to increase the leaching rate of the rare earth; and the selective deposition of cerium fluoride at a relatively high temperature is achieved, such that the effective separation of the cerium fluoride rare earth and the non-cerium rare earth is achieved, and the one-step efficient and mild extraction and separation of cerium fluoride is achieved.
