The present utility model relates to the process of producing thermoformable paper from pineapple (Ananas comosus) leaves with luminescent property comprising the steps:harvesting discarded leaves, drying and cutting the leaves up to 1 inch in size, pulping, rinsing, pounding, bleaching and drying of pulp, preparing the reinforcing solution, preparing the slurry, molding the pulp into sheets, pressing, drying then pressing again, preparing luminescent coating, brushing the surface of paper with luminescent coating then drying the final product. It further relates to the use of luminous thermoformable pineapple (Ananas comosus) paper in the manufacture of gifts, houseware and decors, furniture and furnishing accessories and packaging applications.
