Disclosed are an on-site system and method for scanning rock detritus during drilling in an oil and gas field. The on-site system for scanning rock detritus during drilling in an oil and gas field comprises a sample preparation mould and a rock detritus scanning apparatus. The sample preparation mode is used for rapidly batch-producing the small rock detritus samples produced during the process of well drilling in an oil and gas field into large-scale scanning samples, and the rock detritus scanning apparatus is used for batch scanning and analysis, having the advantages of portability, shock absorption, temperature control, and being dustproof, therefore having the ability to adjust to the harsh environment of the well drilling site. The rock detritus scanning method comprises a scanning step and an analysis step, the scanning step implementing rapid quantitative analysis of the rock surface structure, elements, and mineral types and rapid lithology identification, and the analysis step acquiring centimetre-scale large field of view images and elastic mechanical parameters, selecting optimal target development layers for vertical wells, and assisting the formulation of horizontal well drilling geosteering and horizontal well mining staged fracturing plans, improving the precision and effectiveness of oil and gas exploration.
