A coal mining method for rotatably mining coal on an open pit slope using fully-mechanized coal mining equipment, using a fully-mechanized complete set of coal mining equipment for mining coal on an end slope of an open pit coal mine. Said coal mining method comprises the following steps: firstly, performing regional division on an end slope (500), dividing the end slope (500) of a mining area into an end slope rotary entry end (100), an end slope body section coal (200) and an end slope rotary exit end (300); and then, using a fully-mechanized complete set of coal mining equipment to sequentially carry out end slope coal mining on the end slope rotary entry end (100), mining on the end slope body section coal (200) and end slope coal mining on the end slope rotary exit end (300). The coal mining method for rotatably mining coal on an open pit slope using fully-mechanized coal mining equipment provides working processes having strong continuity in time, has strong adaptability to irregular end slopes, has high comprehensive recovery ratio, increases the service life of an open pit coal mine, and also protects and improves the ambient environment, realizing environmentally friendly coal mining for sustainable development.
