In the method for investigating water permeability and suffusion resistance of a structural unit model of a ground hydraulic structure consisting of soil and an anti-filtration geosynthetic material (geomembrane), comprising arrangement of a structural element model, laid on lower screen lying on fixed support grid located in lower part of filtration chamber, installation of upper mesh structure element above model, then a movable loading grid, on which by means of a load transfer device a given load is transmitted, creation of pressure by the upper and lower cisterns tanks, by supplying water to the tank of the upper pool by a pump from the water reservoir coming through the pipe, determining the pressure gradient from the readings of the tubular piezometers connected to the tanks of the upper and lower beams, determining the load on the soil from the load sensor, fixing the settling of the movable loading grid by the linear displacement sensor, calculation of the coefficient of filtration, visual fixation of the presence of suffusion processes at the boundary of the analysed materials, inside the filtration chamber is a model of the structural element containing a sample of geomembrane 1 of rectangular shape, having a size corresponding to the width of the diameter of the filtration chamber, providing a tight fit of the side ends of the sample of the geomembrane to the walls of the filtration chamber, lower end of sample of geomembrane is placed on the layer of analysed soil both connected and uncoupled, with thickness of not less than 2 cm, laid on lower mesh, sample of geomembrane is placed vertically in middle part along axis of filtration chamber, then soil is laid with seal on both sides of sample of geomembrane to upper end and upper layer of soil so that thickness of soil layer between upper end of sample of geomembrane and upper mesh is not less than 2 cm, and a movable loading grid is installed.;EFFECT: high reliability, accuracy and effectiveness of investigations.;1 cl, 5 dwg
