A video processing method comprises receiving a wrap-around content corresponding to a sphere, generating a projection-based frame according to the wrap-around content and a pyramid projection device, and encoding the projection-based frame by a video encoder to generate a portion of a bitstream. The projection-based frame has 360-degree content represented by a base projection area and a plurality of side projection areas packed in the pyramid projection arrangement. The base projection area and the side projection areas are obtained according to at least one projection ratio between a pyramid and the ball.
