PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of culturing primordial germ cells capable of proliferating primordial germ cells quite simply and stably without using feeder cells, and to provide culture medium additives for culturing primordial germ cells.SOLUTION: A method of culturing primordial germ cells comprises a culturing step of culturing primordial germ cells in a medium containing an apoptosis inhibitor. The apoptosis inhibitor may be a myosin II inhibitor. In this case, the myosin II inhibitor may be blebbistatin.
