The present invention relates to a catalyst with the general formula Support (LS)-Axial ligand (SEWL)-Phthalocyanine complex (MN4)/Metal in which the support corresponds to carbon nanotubes or a conducting support; the axial ligand is a compound derived from pyridinium salts or aromatic thiol salts; and the metal at the catalytic site is a transition metal. The invention also relates to the method for preparing same; a modified electrode comprising said catalyst; the method for preparing said electrode; and use of said catalyst.
