This three-dimensional culture method includes: a step for preparing a cell suspension containing a cell (12C) and a culture medium (14M); a step for preparing a solid surface (10S) that has a plurality of protrusions (10Sp) each having a height of 10nm-1mm; a step for adhering a drop (16D) of the cell suspension onto the solid surface (10S); and a step for culturing the cell (12C) in the drop (16D), in a state where the direction of gravity acting on the drop (16D) is towards the solid surface (10S).
