The present invention relates to a smart community system capable of forming a people-oriented smart community, and a method for forming a multi-dimensional smart community thereof. The method for forming a multi-dimensional smart community comprises the steps of: registering a household as a member after collecting and storing member information including information with regard to houses, family members, and home appliances through a home network used by the household when the household requesting member registration exists; grasping similarity between households by calculating and analyzing physical, social, and economical proximity based on the member information when community group generation is requested in a state of registering the plurality of households as the member; and generating at least one community group by clustering the plurality of members based on the similarity between the households.
