A subsea pipeline comprising a rigid pipeline 14 launched from a vessel and connected to a pliable tie-in 30 using a connector 38, the pipeline including an anchorage for supporting the pipeline as the tie-in is launched into the water. The pipeline may be supported by an abandonment and recovery wire 34, attached to a connector at a distal end of the tie in. The connector may include a pivotable yoke bridal 54. The proximal end of the tie in may be connected to the wire by a second connector 62. The pipe and tie in may include corrosion resistant liners. The tie in may be flexible pipe or composite pipe. A method of laying the pipeline and tie-in from a single vessel is disclosed.
