Study of ABE/ESL Instructor Training Approaches: Communicative ESL Teaching

The Communicative English as a Second Language (ESL) Teaching packet is one often instructional packets designed for training adult education teachers and volunteer instructors. This packet has four objectives (1) participants will be able to distinguish between structural and communicative approaches to language teaching, (2) they will be able to conduct an ESL communication needs assessment (3) they will develop and teach a lesson based on one of their students needs, and (4) they will critique and modify their lessons based on peer feedback.
