A comparison of seagrass beds in Panama and South Florida is made in asupplemental report to the study. The response of seagrass beds to oiling depends on a variety of environmental factors, including spill circumstances, seagrass distribution and environmental setting, and species composition. because spill circumstances cannot be predicted in advance, the report focuses on the remaining factors.
