WOFLAN: A Petri-Net-Based Workflow Analyzer

Workflow management systems facilitate the everyday operation of business211u001eprocesses by taking care of the logistic control of work. In contrast to 211u001etraditional information systems, they attempt to support frequent changes of the 211u001eworkflow at hand. Therefore, the need for analysis methods to verify the 211u001ecorrectness of workflow is becoming more prominent. In this monograph we present 211u001ea tool based on Petri nets: Woflan. Woflan (WOrkFLowANalyser) is an analysis 211u001etool, which can be used to verify the correctness of a workflow procedure. The 211u001eanalysis tool uses state-of-the-art techniques to find potential errors in the 211u001edefinition of a workflow procedure.
