Marine Scientific Research: U.S. Perspective on Jurisdiction and International Cooperation

摘要

The paper assesses the impact of increased coastal State jurisdiction on the U.S. marine scientific research (MSR) effort, discusses factors that may determine geographic choices by U.S. marine scientists for their sea-going research, and offers some speculation from the U.S. perspective on the future for access and international cooperation in marine scientific research.
