Operating Experiences of Reverse Osmosis Plants Treating Rand Water Board (RWB) Water: Pitfalls and Problems

摘要

Results of a survey of the operating experience of reverse osmosis users treating RWB water are presented. Common problems and pitfalls are identified and solutions offered. A major cause of poor reverse osmosis performance is membrane fouling. Laboratory investigations into the nature of membrane fouling by Rand Water Broad (RWB) water are described.
