Stability Analysis of Nonlinear Vibrations of Imperfect Thin-Walled Cylinders

Stability characteristics of the frequency-amplitude relationship for various thin walled cylinders are studied. The method of slowly varying parameters is used. The stability of the single mode and the coupled mode responses are investigated. In order to ensure the necessary accuracy the Newton-Raphson method was used. Only the process of the investigation and the associated equations are presented.
