摘要

The fungus responsible for the production of low-cost plant protein fermented food ontjom in Indonesia has been identified as Neurospora intermedia. Three mutants (H2181, H2182, H2186) were derived from ultraviolet irradiated conidia of an ontjom isolate (H2065). In liquid culture, under induction of maltose, they produced more extracellular amyloglucosidase than its parents. Most of the high producer show concomitant resistance to growth inhibition by L-sorbose. The growth of lysine mutants on lysine is inhibited by argenine and that of arginine mutants on arginine by lysine. Mutants resistant to these respective inhibitions were isolated. Results suggest that tyrosinase synthesis is regulated independently in the vegetative mycelial phase by the novel tyrosinase deficient mutants ty-3 and the sexual protoperithecial phase by the ty-1 and ty-2 regulatory genes.
