Waste Water Treatment by Catalytic Wet Air Oxidation Treatment of Oil Refinery Waste Water

To remedy the deficiencies of previous methods of wet air oxidation technology used for treatment of waste water, research efforts have been focused on a search for suitable catalysts, whereby a catalyst producing pronounced effect has been identified. A method offering outstanding recovery of the specified catalyst has also been developed and refined into a coherent system. The proposed method features an extremely high oxidation degradation index for organic substances ocurring in waste water. High-concentration organic waste water can be treated through application of an oxidizing liquid circulation method offering economic catalyst recovery. (ERA citation 10:046065)
