Isoagglutination and Heteroagglutination of the Erythrocytes of the Cotton Rat, Sigmodon Hispidus Texianus, and the Reactions of Cotton Rat Plasmas with Human Erythrocytes.

As a part of a program of investigation of the hemopoictic system and blood of the cotton rat the agglutination reactions 0f the erythrocytes were considered. In order to obtain some information regarding isoagglutination and heteroagglutination, the cells of cotton rats were reacted with the plasmas of other cotton rats, with human plasmas, the sera or plasmas of some other vertebrates, and the sera of some invertebrates. The plasmas of the cotton rats were also tested for heteroagglutinins for human erythrocytes. The purpose of this paper is to present the results of these reactions.
