Study to Determine the Applicability of Pre-recorded Audio Health Medical Information to the Amedd in Conus.

摘要

This study was conducted to determine if a pre-recorded audio health information system is applicable to the Army Medical Department in the Continental US. The data was collected by telephonic interviews and surveys. This study found that the use of pre-recorded audio health information systems in civilian communities have proven to be frequently and effectively used. The systems have increased public relations between consumers and providers at a relatively inexpensive cost. The consumers of Army Medical Facilities have the same degree of need for health information and turn to the same sources as their civilian counterparts. The author recommended installation of systems wherever possible within the Army Medical Department within cost limitations. Keywords: Health care; Medical information system. (kt)
