摘要

The research has focused on understanding the effects of irradiating liposomescontaining organic dyes with nanosecond and picosecond pulses at 532 nm from Nd:YAG lasers. Time-correlated photon counting and phase-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy techniques have been employed to obtain multicomponent fluorescence lifetimes for the dye-liposome system. A quantitative model based on the experimental data supports a photo-induced thermal mechanism for release of liposome contents.
