The American Bar Association (ABA) has approved a resolution that could have significant influence on standards developers. After vigorous debate, a motion to delay failed and the resolution was adopted. It appears that one of the reasons why it was approved was the opposition to it by both standards developers (who believed it went too far) and organizations such as Public. Resource.com (who believe it did not go nearly far enough.)
