摘要

The SES 57~th Conference recently concluded in San Diego, California. I believe those of you who attended would agree with me that there was an incredible amount of positive energy within the entire group. The theme, "The World of Standards - Is It Really a Zoo Out There?" provided a great opportunity to create hypothetical, though seemingly and uncannily accurate, analogies to be compared between circumstances and conditions found in the animal kingdom to those existing in the world of standards. Everyone had fun weaving the theme throughout the conference, not only to draw significance to those analogies, but also to better understand and positively impact standard's solutions in real world situations.
