Mary C. McKiel, Ph.D., Standards Executive with the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEP A), has been named to the ASTM International Board of Directors for a three-year term. As the first Standards Executive for USEP A, Dr. McKiel directs the agency's implementation of the National Technology Transfer and Advancement Act and OMB Circular A-119. In addition, she sets standard policies and practices regarding the use of standards and participation in their development and she represents the agency in both domestic and international standards-related arenas.
