As we climb out of the party debris from this year's celebration of the 10~(th) anniversary of the signing of the National Technology Transfer and Advancement Act (NTTAA), it's a good idea to be both retrospective and forward looking. Before doing that, however, I hope all of SES's members take pride in the role SES played in this year's celebration. SES members attended celebratory functions in Washington, and all SES members are proud of the "Examples of Success" document SES produced for the event. Under the leadership of Steve Lowell, immediate past SES President, SES produced a document that contains examples illustrating the positive impact of the NTTAA thus far from thirty standards developing organizations. The list of organizations, book-ended by the Acoustical Society of America and the United States Access Board, provides vivid testament to the private sector/government partnership envisioned by the NTTAA.
