Pang Thao has a big vegetable garden--a very big vegetable garden--in Madison, Wisconsin. The garden feeds a dozen of Pang's relatives with the unique foods of her native land, Laos. But the 14 community garden plots (not to mention the quarter acre s he rents from a local farmer) mean more to Pang than the much-needed harvest she reaps. Gardening is her passion. "In the summertime, don't call me," she says, "I'll be out in the garden until dark."
