The African floater market is expected to have a shortfall of around three rig years against a supply of 33 units over the coming months. Several rig movements are scheduled in the coming six months, however the total number of floaters in the region will remain unchanged. The jackup market is expected to be more or less in balance during the first half of 2008, however a deficit is expected to build up from third quarter onwards.
