Across the Cotton Belt, producers applaud stability, 'safety net' and flexibility of new law. With improved target prices, marketing loan provisions and a chance to change bases, U.S. cotton growers visiting with Farm Progress Companies indicate theyare pleased with the new legislation. The enthusiasm for cotton was beginning to return in many places as growers began sorting out what the new law contained after Precident Bush autographed it in mid-May.
