The ITC investigation covered thirty-three categories of steel, including stainless and alloy products as well as carbon steel. Complaints against 17 were thrown out. The ITC was split on 4. The 12 that the ITC affirmed had injured the domestic industry account for far more than the other 21.The main items are carbon slab; HR coil and narrow strip; CR coil and narrow strip; coated coil and narrow strip; HR bar; rebar; bright bar; welded tube; and various stainless products. Taking carbon and alloy steel products together, these account for an estimated 80 percent of current import tonnage.
