摘要

Extensive efforts are devoted to the development of metal nanostructures for applications with far-reaching technological impacts. Compelling examples include the enhancement of photocatalysis and photoluminescence. Thus, silver nanoparticles provide significant enhancement of the photo-catalytic performance of TiO2, and of the photolumines-cence of InGaN/GaN quantum wells. Also, magnetoelectric nanocomposites were proposed for the fabrication of devices with magnetically controlled piezoelectricity and high-density magnetic data storage.
