CFI asked two long-time and knowledgeable feller buncher observers for their take on how operators can run these central full-tree producers better - Jean-Franfois Gingras, program leader at FERIC's eastern office*; and Daniel Chastenais, marketing manager in charge of exports and Western Canada at Tanguay Machinery. Combined, they have over 50 years experience in mechanical forestry, most focused on helping operations become more productive. They have seen the gamut of operators, from hyper-efficient to green.
