Easy Access to Aryl- and Heteroaryl-Annulatedacarbazoles by the Indium-Catalyzed Reaction of 2-Arylindoles with Propargyl Ethers

Aryl- and heteroaryl-annulatedacarbazoles constitute an attractive class of compounds in view of their biological and pharmacological activities that result from their special affinity toward DNA.Among them,indoloacarbazoles,which are found in many natural products,seem to be the most intriguing,and thus numerous studies on their activities and synthetic methodologies have been reported.
