摘要

A satisfactory level of mechanical properties forhot rolled strip can only be reached by accurate control of therun-out table cooling. A model and a control system arepresented, which enable to adjust the cooling pattern to therequirements specific to the product being rolled. The model isauto-adaptative. Empirical tables are used to characterize heatexchange efficiency between the product and the cooling water.Thanks to this model, significant improvements have beenobtained for rolling performance and product quality.
