Beef production in the major beef producing countries of the world, as shown in the table below, is expected to be about one per cent more this year than last. Brazil, Argentina, China and Japan are all expected to show a rise in production for 2007.Little change in overall production is predicted for 2008, although Brazil, Argentina and China are all expected to see further rises. Figures for the world's largest producer, the United States, show stability, with very little change between 2006 and 2008.
