摘要

Optically active α- and β-amino phosphonic acid derivatives are bio-isosteric analogues of the corresponding amino acids, and have found widespread use in biochemistry and pharmaceuticals as active substances in anticancer drugs, enzyme inhibitors, catalytic antibodies, herbicides, bactericides, and antibiotics. Consequently, considerable research efforts have been devoted to the asymmetric synthesis of these compounds over the past decades. Several catalytic asymmetric methods involving different types of bond-forming processes have been developed in recent years for the synthesis of the α-amino phosphonic acid derivatives.
