Time after time

Bill Hollins comments on Nicola Morelli's 'Time Line' article which appeared in last month's issue of Engineering Designer. I was very interested to read what Nicola Morelli had to say about my rather 'tongue in cheek' article 'Why don't we design out the wait' from July/August 2006 Engineering Designer Journal. It is nice to know that my efforts get noticed. My memories of Aalborg where Nicola has her university post are of the cold. I was designing safety equipment for an oil platform being built there. It was a 'hands on' job, literally, as my hand got frozen to the metal work whilst I was measuring things in the minus five degrees temperature. Each evening I would sit in the sauna to thaw out.
