摘要

Engineers Without Borders UK is a student-run charity whose focus is on technical contributions to international development. EWB-UK was formed to provide a vehicle for engineers and others to help break the cycle of poverty of people in developing countries. EWB-UK is a student-led organisation that is looking for all people interested in helping find technical solutions to the challenges facing developing countries. EWB-UK provides young engineering students or professionals on 3-12 month placements to partner development organisations in the UK or overseas, runs training courses on international development issues, facilitates research into technical topics which benefit partner development organisations, and runs outreach programmes to schools in the UK to raise awareness among children of the role of engineering in international development.
