ABSTRACTS

摘要

This article evaluates the literature that has been found to contribute to knowledge of the subject area. This literature review attempts to synthesize some of Taguchi's contributions to quality engineering and also provides a critical evaluation of his statistical methods. The role of computer-aided design of experiments was discussed. The findings provide the basis to combine Taguchi's engineering ideas with the principles of artificial neural networks. The findings also help to bring out the fourth generation of advancement in the industrial application of experimental design with the objectives of sensitivity analysis, predictive learning, and inverse modeling of systems and processes.
