Impact of Workplace Quality on Employees' Productivity: A Case Study of Brazilian Federal Police Forensic Units

摘要

The main goal of this paper is to provide new insights on the Brazilian Federal Police forensic units with respect to the physical environment. The theoretical basis of this study relies on the use of statistical modeling over raw databases. Analyzing data from 7 different forensic science laboratories around the country, the method allowed having a perception on what influences the scientist's productivity. It also allowed finding an optimal physical distribution of personnel in a local forensic unit. The results allow the managers to better plan new forensic units and provide better service to the society.
