CST is already established as a world producer of tin plate slabs in single and non critical double reduction. The company is opened to the establishment of partnership with clients with a view to joined development of critical applications such as DI. Since the beginning of the hot strip mill operations, CST established the development of hot coils for the application in single reduction and has partnerships with strategic clients for the development of hot strip mill for more critical applications such as EOE. As a result of these partnerships, it was possible to certify that the criterion of continuous casting quality events has assured a good level of cleanliness on CST hot coils, even for packaging applications. The results of the processing of a trial lot of 4000 t, incorporating the practices and procedures of cleanliness control, have shown cleanliness levels compatible with EOE requirements.
