Experiments on the transport of graded sediment

Four large-scale experiments are reported on the transport ofgraded sediments in a straight channel in the domain of partialsediment mobility (in which not all size fractions are fully mobile).Particular attention is paid to the influence of sedi- mentintroduced near the head of the experimental channel in inbank andover- bank flows, respectively. In addition to sediment transportrate, the composition and texture of the bed and the composition ofthe bed load were measured at inter- vals.
